Sowing Instructions.
Sowing time: September to May. Sow seeds on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place container in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 15-20ºC. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 7-21 days. Aftercare For best results, provide a well-drained soil in full sun. Overwinter September sowings in a cold frame and plant out the following spring.
