Blanket flower "Kokarda" - Gaillardia aristata.
Winter-hardy perennial: blooms for 4 months!
Gaillardia is one of the brightest perennials for garden decoration and bouquet, blooming from early summer to autumn. It forms a basal rosette of pubescent leaves and strong stems - flower stalks, which are crowned with large, contrastingly colored inflorescences - baskets.
Gaillardia looks great both in the center of the flower bed and in group plantings on the lawn and stands for a long time in the cut.
Agrotechnics.
It is grown both in seedlings (for flowering in the first year) and by direct sowing of seeds in June-July (for flowering in the next year). The seeding depth is not more than 0.5-1 cm. Gaillardia is suitable for any garden soil in a sunny area.
Sowing: in spring or summer on seed beds in greenhouses or open ground. Seedlings dive in the phase of 1-2 leaves. Seedlings are planted in a permanent place in August-September. Young plants bloom in the second year, and can grow in one place for 3-4 years.
Prefers open sunny places with light, dry soil. They need a garter and top dressing with complex mineral fertilizer.
1 g = 350-500 seeds.
