A beautiful fast-growing liana from Tropical America with numerous white double flowers. Blooms from May to September.
Germination of seeds: lightly file the seeds and soak them in warm water for 10-12 hours. Then they are sown in a loose substrate and covered with film.
Germinates from 5 to 15 days. Flowering under favorable conditions can begin as early as 2 months after germination.
The leaves are pinnately dissected, 6-12 cm long. Each consists of 5-9 elliptical-oblong, richly green leaflets. The flowers are clear blue, 3-5 cm in diameter, light yellow in the center, single or paired in the leaf axils.
Grown as a houseplant (perennial liana) or as an annual for the garden. Needs a trellis or support. Used to decorate fences, walls, terraces and balconies.
Plants grown from seeds bloom 4-6 months after sowing. Flowering period from spring to autumn.
Care: undemanding plant. Any loose, well-drained, nutritious mixture is used for planting. Watering is regular in the warm season. Can withstand short-term drought.
Location: sunny.
Sowing: before sowing, soak the seeds for a day in warm water, changing it every 4-6 hours. Sow in a loose, well-drained mixture.
