Cosmidium burridgeanum
Philippine "Brunette"
An unpretentious annual plant with long flowering, forming a compact branched bush 30-50 cm high.
Inflorescences are graceful large baskets up to 3 cm in diameter with a purple-brown disk and a yellow-orange edge.
Flowering is abundant and long: from June to October.
It is used for planting along the edges of flower beds, on alpine slides, on balconies and in pots.
AGRICULTURAL TECHNIQUE: undemanding to the soil, prefers a sunny place.
When growing seedlings, the seeds are sown in April in boxes, the seeding depth is 0.2 cm.
At a temperature of +18°C shoots appear on the 8-14th day. Seedlings are planted in open ground, maintaining a distance between plants of 30 cm (when the threat of frost has passed).
Risky, but quite possible to sow directly into the ground in May.
Further care consists in weeding, watering and top dressing.
