Shrub beans "BORLOTTO LINGUA Dl FUOCO NANO" - Phaseolus vulgaris var. nanus.
A mid-early (70 days) bushy bean variety of a well-known Italian variety, in great demand due to its beautiful pods, called "tongues of flame" (up to 20 cm in length).
A very prolific variety. The beans are white with raspberry-red blotches.
Sow in the beds in late May - June after the last spring frost, when the soil temperature is above +12+14°C. Legumes can be harvested in July for fresh consumption, and in September for seeds.
Young beans can be eaten with their skins, as they do not have a fibers and hard layer of parchment - the taste is delicious!
Beans are a good source of protein and are great for casseroles and soups.
1,0 g = 3-5 seeds.
