GARDEN LEEK "BLAUWGROENE WINTER" BANDIT - Allium porrum L.
A mid-late leek variety for autumn harvest. Should be planted in seedlings, which are grown from mid-March or it’s end. Vegetation period is 140 days. The white part of the stalk is large, 20-25 cm long. The plant is of medium height. Leaves are vertical, of medium width, with a groove, the color is blue-green with a tinge of anthocyanin. The length of the bleached part is medium, the diameter is small, the bulb is weak.
Grows best in a fertile, non-acid clay loam soil. Suitable for long-term storage. Can be sowed in autumn.
The value of the variety: high productivity, good quality of the bleached part, the presence of a weakly expressed bulb facilitates the cleaning of the productive part of the plant and harvesting, resistance to adverse environmental conditions.
Recommended for growing in garden plots, homesteads and farms. For fresh, dried consumption and home cooking.
