Nepitella (Lesser calamint)

Lesser calamint (Nepitella) - Clinopodium nepeta (Calamintha nepeta).
Perennial winter-hardy spicy-aromatic plant related to mint, 30 cm high. The leaves have a cooling taste and a strong odour.
The soulmate is appreciated for the high content of essential oils, organic acids, tannins and vitamins. It has tonic and antispasmodic effects.
This plant is used fresh and dried, in cooking as a seasoning, as a medicinal plant, in the form of tinctures and decoctions.
