Sweet pepper "California Wonder".
Medium-early, productive variety for growing in protected soil: ripens 100-129 days after germination.
The plant is determinate, 65-80 cm high. The fruits are large (128-160 g), juicy, sweet, with thick walls (5-6 mm), cube-prismatic in shape. The color in technical ripeness is green, in biological ripeness it is red.
Sowing: grown through seedlings without picking. Sow in pots in the first ten days of March. 1.0 g = 120-160 seeds.
Seeds germinate on the 5-7th day at a soil temperature of at least +25 °C. After the end of spring frosts, 2-3 plants/m2 are planted in the greenhouse in loose soil rich in organic matter.
Care: watering abundantly and infrequently. During the fruiting period, it is responsive to nitrogen fertilizers; phosphorus-potassium fertilizers are applied during the flowering period, which increases the yield and quality of the fruit.
Harvesting: it is recommended to pick the fruits at the stage of technical ripeness (green fruits).
Productivity: 4-6 kg/m2.
Resistance: resistant to Verticillium wilt.
Use: an excellent variety for salads and stuffing with excellent taste.
Please note that... the "California Wonder" variety is a very popular mid-early variety throughout the world. If you want to grow large-fruited peppers and get high yields in conditions that are far from ideal, then grow this particular variety.

Did you know that... "California Wonder" peppers are ideal for preparing the following dish:
Carefully remove the core from green and red peppers. Add crushed garlic and mayonnaise to the grated cheese in such a proportion that the mass is not liquid.
Add the prepared mixture to each pepper and put it in the refrigerator so that it hardens better. To serve, cut the peppers with a very thin knife, slightly moistened with cold water, into neat rings.
