Broussa mullein "Polar Summer" (Silky mullein)

Broussa mullein "Polar Summer" - Verbascum bombyciferum.
A decorative and delightful biennial plant 1.5-2.0 m high.
A large rosette of well-pubescent leaves near the root is formed in the first year after sowing, a strong branched stem - in the second year.
The whole plant is densely pubescent, silvery-white and looks very beautiful. Yellow shiny flowers gradually open in mid-summer. Despite all its decorativeness and originality, it is quite undemanding - a sunny place of growth and light, not very wet soil.
Flowering: June-August.
Recommendations for sowing and care:
- sowing in a pre-sowing container, with loosened, water- and air-permeable soil, or in the growing area in the fall against the snow, superficially;
- provide regular watering, loosening, shading from direct sunlight, trim if necessary, trying not to damage the long main root;
- plant cultivated plants in the growing place in the evening or in cloudy weather, water well, mulch;
- in the spring feed with complete mineral fertilizer containing microelements, in the summer it is advisable to give wood ash.
