Persian Buttercup "Dolina fioletovaja" F1" (crowfoot)
Persian Buttercup "Blooming Valley Purple" F1 (from the Japanese company "Sakata") - Ranunculus asiatica.
A dwarf perennial plant only 20-25 cm high, which is ideal for growing in pots or for creating bright flowering flower beds and borders.
Dark purple, double flowers, 8 cm in diameter, look like roses when the buds open, and when fully bloomed - like miniature double poppies.
The stem is simple with small, deeply dissected leaves. Blooms in late June - July.
Agrotechnology.
In February-March, the seeds are superficially sown in a box filled with slightly damp, loose soil and lightly sprinkled. Then the container with soil is transferred to a dark, cool room and kept at a temperature of +2+7 °C (stratification). After 45-50 days, the crops are placed in a lighted place, carefully moistened with a spray bottle and covered with glass. On the 10-12th day, the first shoots begin to appear.
In May, when the seedlings reach 10 cm in height, they are planted in a garden greenhouse at a distance of 10-15 cm from each other or in a separate pot (for growing on a balcony).
After the end of frosts, the plants are transferred to open ground. Young ranunculus seedlings form full-fledged tubers during the season and bloom. In the fall, the tubers are dug up and dried, stored at a temperature of +4+6°C. In the spring, before planting, they are soaked in water for a day and planted at 15-30 cm.
