A perennial highly branched plant, 15-20 cm high, forming dense carpets from its shoots that do not die off in winter. Leaves are numerous, grayish-green, very decorative, they go well with pink rather large flowers, reaching 2 cm in diameter, which are collected in racemose inflorescences from 5 to 15 cm in length.
Alpine Arabis, due to its very early and rather long flowering, is indispensable for creating a rock garden or rocky garden, in addition, this plant has a unique aroma and is decorative from early spring to the first snow.
Intense pink arabis combines well with early-flowering bulbous plants such as crocuses and tulips to create charming compositions with bright spring primroses.

It is grown both by direct sowing of seeds into the ground in May-July or before winter (for flowering next year), and by seedling method (for flowering in the year of sowing). When sowing, the seeds are slightly covered with light soil, practically without covering. After the appearance of the first two true leaves, the seedlings dive.
Seedlings are planted in open ground when the threat of frost has passed. The distance between plants is 20-30 cm.
Arabis is quite unpretentious, but prefers sunny areas with light, well-drained soils.
Arabis tolerates shoot pruning after flowering, which allows the plant to form the desired shape and avoid overgrowth.
