Intended for fresh consumption, drying, freezing and pickling.
Agrotechnology.
Basil is grown through seedlings. Seeds are sown 2 months before planting in the ground, to a depth of 1-1.5 cm. Grown plants are thinned out, leaving 5 cm between them. After the danger of frost has passed, the plants are planted in open ground, placing rows 30-40 cm apart, and plants in a row - 25 cm from each other.
Caring for plants in open ground consists of regular loosening, weeding, watering and fertilizing.
Harvesting begins during the flowering period - with the greatest accumulation of green mass. It is better to harvest in dry weather. After the first cutting, the plants are fed with mineral fertilizers, weeded and loosened. During the season, you can get 2-3 harvests of green mass.
To force the greenery, the plants are dug up in September, the leaves are cut off, planted in boxes and placed in a warm room.
