An excellent columnar pot plant for growing on a windowsill or balcony. Plant height 60-90 cm.
The color of the leaves is dark green.
Heat-loving annual, which is grown through seedlings (when grown in open ground).
Seeds germinate at the optimum temperature of +20+30°C within 10 days. Plant out outdoors when danger of frost has passed.
Prefers rich, light soils, sunny location. For medicinal purposes, the aerial part of the plant is used.
In dry sunny weather, before flowering or during flowering, shoots 10-14 cm long are harvested, dried in the shade in well-ventilated places.
For the entire growing season, cutting is repeated two or three times. The flowering period of basil is very extended, and the seeds do not ripen at the same time, so the collection is carried out selectively.
20 seeds will be enough to sow an area of 3-5 m2 or 10-14 pots (one plant in each).
