Campion keiskei "Silky Pink"
Keiskei campion "Silky Pink" - Silene keiskei.
An exquisite perennial that blooms in the year of sowing.
For any flower beds and balcony pots. Height 20-25 cm. A fast-growing variety that forms a solid carpet of branched bushes.
Blooms all summer until autumn, covering numerous shoots with bluish-green foliage with delicate flowers (the flowering is so abundant that you will not even see the foliage of this plant).
Used to create borders, flower beds, carpet plantings. Also suitable for planting in balcony boxes.
20 seeds will be enough to fill a flower bed of 2 m2 or 10-15 pots.
Growing conditions.
Sowing for seedlings or directly to a permanent place. Shoots appear in 14-20 days. Can be propagated by dividing the bush in spring, as soon as the plants begin to grow.
The culture is very unpretentious, cold-resistant. Prefers drained, moist soils, sunny location. In shaded areas they lose their decorative effect, bloom weakly, the stems stretch out.
Sowing for seedlings: March-April to a depth of 0.5 cm.
Transplanting to a permanent place: May (3).
Soil: requires slightly acidic, well-drained soil.
Care: minimal watering. Old plants gradually thin out in the center, so after flowering they need to be significantly shortened in order to again obtain their characteristic shape the following year.
Flowering: June-September.
Use: for flower beds, borders, borders, rocky areas.
Partners: good in combination with blue gentians, bells and violets.
