Carrot "Norwich" F1.
An early-ripening hybrid of the "Nantes" type (vegetation period: 96 days from germination) with an increased carotene content in roots and excellent taste qualities.
Root crops are cylindrical, even, smooth, orange-red, up to 20 cm long, with a small core.

Value of the hybrid: early maturity combined with high productivity, resistance to root cracking, and genetic resistance to bolting.
Used for fresh consumption, processing, diet nutrition, and long-term storage (6-7 months).
The variety is especially suitable for autumn sowing. If the seeds are treated, the name of the treatment is indicated at the bottom of the package (for example: FLUDIOXONIL).
1.0 g = 800-1000 seeds.
Cultivation.
Carrots grow best on light loamy and sandy loam soils. Potatoes, onions, tomatoes, cucumbers, and legumes are considered the best predecessors.
In spring, before sowing, a complex mineral fertilizer is applied to the soil.
Sowing in late April in furrows to a depth of 3-4 cm. Distance between rows 18-20 cm. 2 weeks after germination, carrots are thinned out.
The second thinning is carried out when the roots reach 1 cm in diameter, leaving 5-6 cm between plants. Further care consists of weeding, loosening, and watering.
Pre-winter sowing is carried out when the temperature drops to +5°C (second half of October - early November). Seeds are embedded to a depth of 1-2 cm, the surface of the plot is mulched with peat.
