Carrot "Russian Giant".
Late-ripening (130-135 days from germination to harvest) variety.
The rosette of leaves is semi-erect. The root crop is conical, blunt-ended, bright orange, with a small core, very large, powerful and incredibly long. It is stored very well.
The average length of the root crop is 28 cm, and on light fertile soils it grows up to 35 (!) cm.
The pulp is juicy, tender, with a pleasant taste. Weight 150-250 g. The root crop is almost completely immersed in the soil.
The variety is characterized by high productivity, excellent appearance and uniformity of root crops, intended for long-term storage (until the next harvest).
The variety is perfect for winter sowing.
With classic sowing of seeds in the ground is carried out in late April - early May to a depth of 1 cm, the distance between rows is 20 cm. The grown seedlings are thinned out, leaving 6 cm between plants. Subwinter sowing is carried out in the fall, in slightly frozen soil, increasing the seeding rate by 1.5-2.0 times.
