* CELERY IS GOOD FOR MEN!
Root, leaf, and petiole varieties of celery are grown. The crop is cold-resistant and moisture-loving. It grows well in humus-rich, neutral to slightly acidic soils. Leaf and petiole varieties of celery (with a growing season of 80 and 120 days, respectively) are grown by direct sowing. The seeding rate is 0.7-1 g/m². The planting depth is 1-1.5 cm. The row spacing is 40 cm. The distance between plants after thinning is 30 cm. For the first 50 days, celery grows very slowly, so it requires careful care: loosening the soil, weeding, and watering. Leaves are cut as they grow. The root variety, due to its long growing season, is grown from 55-70-day-old seedlings. To produce 100 plants, 0.1-0.2 g of seeds is sufficient. Root celery is more demanding of soil fertility and moisture. High doses of organic fertilizers should be applied in the fall. Roots are harvested from late September to late October and stored in damp sand at a low temperature. They can be used to force greens in winter. Leaves, petioles, and roots are used fresh, dried, pickled, and canned for soups, sauces, side dishes, and for pickling vegetables. In terms of taste and nutrient content, celery ranks among the best green and spice crops. It contains carotene, vitamins B1, B2, C, PP, minerals (calcium, sodium, potassium, magnesium, phosphorus), glutamine, amino acids, acetic and butyric acids, the concentration of which increases with the age of the plant.
Celery has found wide application in folk medicine:
Fresh root juice and infusion are widely used to treat urolithiasis, inflammatory diseases of the bladder and urinary tract.
An infusion of the root is useful for gastritis, chronic colitis, gastric ulcer and duodenal ulcer.
Celery preparations are prescribed for sleep disorders, nervous system exhaustion, neuroses, asthenic conditions, in the treatment of obesity, for the prevention of atherosclerosis, normalization of metabolism, regulation of liver function, painful menstruation and the treatment of false forms of impotence.

Nowadays, many people can't afford medications in pharmacies - they're just too expensive...
At the same time, people have the wonderful opportunity to leisurely stroll through the summer forest and gather a small amount of various medicinal herbs. And then heal themselves with these gifts of the forest and meadow, which is very beneficial and practically free. The forest itself is a healer. Moreover, some medicinal plants can be found in your own garden.
And one more thing: in folk medicine, various substances found in the kitchen and medicine cabinet are often used: vinegar, ammonia, etc.
Here are some tips and folk recipes :
* For radiculitis or sprained ligaments, peel a medium-sized onion, grate it, and add granulated sugar equal to the volume of the onion. Mix everything together, place it on cellophane, and apply to the sore spot. Do this in the evening, then place a bandage over the cellophane and wrap it to keep it warm. You can also make a paste from the onion bulb; then you won't need the sugar.
* If a child has a cold and a fever, take 1 tablespoon each of valerian root, ammonia, and 9% table vinegar, preferably apple cider vinegar. Mix everything together and rub the mixture onto the child's chest and temples at night. Allow the child to sniff the mixture so that the scent penetrates the nasopharynx. The child will wake up healthy in the morning. Adults are treated in the same way, but the dosage is doubled.
* For a sore throat, take 1 tablespoon each of honey, flour, and dry mustard. Mix everything together, roll it into a flat cake, and apply it to the throat overnight, cover with plastic wrap, and wrap it with a scarf. This will warm the skin, redden it, and the illness will subside fairly quickly. For pneumonia, apply a second flat cake to the back. Bruises are treated in the same way. In all cases, the flat cake is used up to 3 times, after which it loses its effectiveness.
* For hypertension, drink a dill infusion. Place 2 tablespoons of dill seeds in a thermos and add 0.5 liters of hot water. Do this in the evening, and in the morning you can drink the infusion 30 minutes before meals. It reduces blood pressure and eye pressure, and has a general strengthening effect. Basil, parsley, lettuce, asparagus, onions, apples, and, of course, strawberries are also beneficial for hypertension. Placing a piece of horseradish root under the left armpit also reduces blood pressure.
* To limit salt intake, eat potatoes, zucchini, bananas, raisins, and dried apricots. Drinking a glass of carrot juice mixed with pumpkin juice in the morning on an empty stomach is beneficial. Prepare the juice using a juicer.
* Boils can be cured in 24 hours. Take onion peels and plantain leaves in a 1:1 ratio. Finely chop. Add 1 teaspoon of honey to 0.5 liters of the mixture, form the mixture into patties, and apply them to the boils. This condition can also be cured with the flowers of the weed, bindweed. Pick them, leave them unwashed, and apply them to the affected area.
* Activated charcoal is commonly used to treat flatulence, but cloves are much more pleasant. The effect is achieved quickly. The seeds are ground, ground into flour, and added to soups and main courses. Cloves can also be chewed.
* To combat cancer, use a celandine infusion. Brew 1 teaspoon of dried herb or 1 tablespoon of fresh herb in a small thermos with 1 cup of boiling water. After 1 hour, the infusion is ready; drink a dessert spoon three times a day, 30 minutes before meals.
* Trophic ulcers are virtually impossible to cure medically. Wild strawberries are a treatment for this condition, as well as for weeping eczema. They are crushed, placed in a linen cloth, and applied to the affected area. The condition resolves within 5-7 days.
