Dill is a cold-resistant, light-loving plant that prefers fertile, moist areas. Dill seeds are sown on prepared soil without tillage but with obligatory mulching of 2-3 cm with peat. Shoots appear in 10-15 days.
Caring for crops consists of loosening row spacing, watering and fertilizing. To obtain earlier greens from open ground, dill is sown before winter, on frozen soil (in the second ten days of November), and covered with peat to a depth of 2-3 cm.
