* Care, watering and fertilizing of beans.
Beans are the fourth most drought-resistant legume among legumes. They tolerate temperatures up to +40°C well.
During the growing season, plants consume a lot of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and calcium.
Crop care consists of systematically loosening the soil between rows, weeding in rows, fertilizing, and pest and disease control.
Soil loosening begins when shoots appear (i.e. as soon as rows are visible), and later - if necessary, with simultaneous weeding.
When the first true leaf appears, shoots in dense areas are thinned out, leaving plants in a row at a distance of 10-12 cm.
In the budding phase, beans are fed with mineral fertilizers at the rate of 15 g of superphosphate, 5 g of potassium chloride per 1 sq. m.
If necessary, you can feed with mullein (for 20 buckets of water take 3 buckets of fresh mullein and a bucket of ash).
Excess moisture, especially before flowering, promotes the exuberant growth of leaf mass, and this delays the flowering period and, of course, fruit formation.
Therefore, beans are watered before flowering once a week at the rate of 6-8 liters per 1 sq. m. During flowering and fruit formation, the watering rate is doubled,
that is, up to 12-15 liters per 1 sq. m., otherwise the lack of moisture in the soil will lead to massive flower shedding and stop the ripening of beans.
Caring for bean crops is not difficult. It is necessary to periodically weed, loosen and water as needed.
During the period of intensive growth, it is necessary to apply liquid fertilizers 1-3 times depending on soil conditions
and the amount of fertilizers applied when preparing the soil for sowing.
