Perennial herbaceous plant from the Lobelia family, cultivated as an annual. Shoots thin, creeping, up to 30 cm long.
Flowering is abundant from June to autumn: flowers are blue, red, ruby, white, up to 2 cm in diameter.
Lobelia is photophilous, moisture-loving and cold-resistant, prefers loose and moderately fertile soils, watering is necessary during the dry period.
It is grown in seedlings: seeds are sown in February-March. Shoots appear in 9-10 days. Seedlings are planted in open ground in the second half of May. Used for planting in hanging planters and baskets, vases and balcony boxes.
