Eggplant "Black Beauty"

Eggplant "BLACK BEAUTY" - Solanum melongena. 
Medium-early variety. Fruits are large, cylinder shaped, dark purple colour. The flesh is firm, white.
Aubergines are highly appreciated in vegetarian cuisine for high nutritional value. Used fresh, fried, steamed, can be preserved.
Fruits are picked, until their peel is shiny - later they can become bitter. Higher yields can be expected when grown under cover.
1 gram = 190-230 seeds.

Popular mid-early variety. The plant is fast-growing, compact, 55-55 cm high.
Fruits are glossy, violet-black, 10-12 cm long, weighing 200-250 g. The flesh is greenish, dense, of excellent taste.
Productivity 4.5-6.0 kg / m2.
Agrotechnics.
Eggplant prefers sandy loam and loamy fertile soils rich in organic matter. Best predecessors: onions, carrots, pumpkins, legumes.
Grown through seedlings. Sowing of seeds is carried out in the second decade of March. In the phase of 1-2 true leaves, the seedlings dive.
Transplanting seedlings into the ground at the age of 60-70 days, when the threat of frost has passed. Planting density - up to 5 plants per 1 m2.
Further care consists in regular feeding, weeding and loosening.
In the northern regions, eggplant can only be grown in greenhouses: in film greenhouses, greenhouses and under temporary film shelters.
