Large-fruited garden strawberry "Florian" F1 - Fragaria x ananasa.
One of the earliest and most productive hybrids!
You will be delighted by large bright red berries (some up to 20 g), with dense pulp, very sweet and aromatic, with good transportability, wonderful for freezing.
The second remarkable feature is a pronounced remontant character, so with rich soil, the yield is 2-3 times higher than that of ordinary varieties (from 750-1000 g per bush). Almost continuous flowering from May to October creates the basis for obtaining berries during this period.
The third unique property is very early fruiting due to well-wintering buds that were formed in the fall. Thanks to this, fruiting occurs 2 weeks earlier.
Fourth - exceptional decorativeness of a compact bush with a whole sea of berries and delicate pink flowers on numerous peduncles.
Agrotechnics: the first stage is the preparation of the soil mixture: 3 parts of sand are mixed with 5 parts of humus. The humus must be loose. The mixture must be heated in the oven for 3-4 hours, at +90+100°C. Sowing is carried out in February-March on the surface of slightly compacted and moistened soil. A mixture of seeds and sand should be carefully placed on the resulting surface. It is necessary to ensure that the seeds do not fall deep. Seedlings may appear within 30 days, therefore, to accelerate seed germination, it is recommended to cover the sowing box with polyethylene and put it on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator with a temperature of +5+7°C for 2-3 days. Then place in +22°C for germination. In the phase of 1-2 true leaves, the seedlings are planted in pots and the temperature is reduced to +14+16°C. After the plants have 6 true leaves, they can be planted in the ground with a distance between rows of 25-30 cm, between plants 15-20 cm.
Care consists of weeding, loosening, watering, fertilizing and protecting against diseases and pests.
Berries are harvested repeatedly, as they ripen.
