A perennial from the Primulaceae family.
Origin: Eastern Himalayas, Tibet, Southwest China.
The plant reaches 20–30 cm in height and is entirely covered with a silvery coating.
Leaves form a basal rosette. The dark violet flowers, delicately dusted with white fuzz, are gathered in a dense, spherical inflorescence.
Flowering: blooms in the first year – June to early August.
Hardiness zones: Z4 – Z8.
Soil requirements: well-drained, humus-rich, fertile soil.
Use: flowering pot plant; perfect for borders, flowerbeds, and rock gardens. Looks particularly striking under trees and shrubs.
