Tomato "Bolshaya Medveditsa"
Tomato "Great Bear".
Magnificent sweet taste and impressive size.
One of the largest-fruited pink beefsteak varieties – the average weight of the tomatoes is 250-350 g, and the very first fruits on the lower clusters can reach up to 500 g. The plants are tall, of the indeterminate type.
Seedlings are pricked out in the phase of one or two true leaves. The plants must be tied to a reliable support and shaped strictly into 1-2 stems. To obtain large fruits, it is necessary to regularly remove lateral shoots (suckers) and old lower leaves. After the formation of 7-8 clusters, the growing point is pinched off (topped) to direct all the plant's energy into filling the harvest.
Sugary on the break, incredibly fragrant and fleshy fruits of magnificent taste are absolutely ideal for fresh summer salads, sandwiches, cold snacks, and making thick, rich tomato juice!
In temperate climates, the variety is recommended for greenhouses, while in southern regions it bears fruit perfectly in the open ground. The yield in a greenhouse or poly-tunnel with good care is more than 10 kg/m2.
* Fruit shape may vary slightly depending on growing conditions and weather.
