Vitamin conveyor: fresh greens 365 days a year!
A legendary variety of flat-leaf parsley that forms a vigorous rosette of large, tender, and incredibly aromatic leaves.
Characteristics:
Greens regrow very quickly and abundantly. Even with a single sowing, you can harvest almost all year round (including early spring after overwintering).
The leaves are smooth, dark green, and stay tender for a long time.
Variety value:
1. Cold hardiness: mature plants easily tolerate frosts down to -8°C. Left in the garden bed under the snow, it provides the earliest vitamin-rich greens in spring.
2. Versatility: ideal for fresh salads, drying, and freezing.
Agrotechnics.
Loves loose, fertile soil (dug to 20-22 cm).
Important: Seeds germinate slowly (15-20 days). To speed up the process, soak them in gauze for 3-4 days before sowing.
Sowing depth 1-2 cm.
Spacing: 30-40 cm between rows, 8-12 cm between plants.
1.0 g = 450-650 seeds.
Useful tip: to help leaf parsley grow green mass, apply fertilizer immediately after cutting the greens. And to accelerate root ripening in root parsley, remove the 4 lower leaves in August.
Little tricks:
* For leaf parsley: to make the bush grow new mass faster, feed it with fertilizers immediately after each cutting.
* Winter garden: in autumn, you can dig up a couple of bushes, transplant them into a pot, and place them on a windowsill (+12+15°C). You will have fresh herbs all winter! (do not bury the "heart" when transplanting).
* Legends abound regarding the healing power of parsley — supposedly, it cures everything from cystitis to excess freckles. However, relying on rumors is risky; it is better to consult a certified herbalist.
Nevertheless, there are proven recommendations for its cosmetic use:
❖ Parsley Cream (SOS-remedy for eyes).
For puffy eyelids and fluid retention, it is advisable to use a homemade parsley cream: chop parsley leaves and stems (20 g) and mash them thoroughly with 20 g of margarine or soft butter.
Apply the cream to damp skin after washing with cold water, and then gently wipe the area around the eyes with a piece of ice. This is a powerful strike against morning puffiness!
