Lettuce "Maiko".
Medium early "butterhead" type lettuce variety resistant to pseudoperonospora cubensis. Makes an open loaf. Leaves are red-brown, smooth, slightly wavy, firm, good taste. Can be grown all year round in open field, under cover, and in greenhouses. Good for potting. Grow best in loose, fertile soil. Grow poorly in the shade. Demanding for moisture - should be watered rarely but abundantly.
