Lettuce "Red Velvet".
This heirloom variety offers beautiful red leaves with reddish-brown tips and a green underside with a brownish tint. The leaves have a crisp texture and a pleasant taste.
Maturity: Mid-season. The growing period from mass germination to harvest maturity is 75-78 days, and with the seedling method, 45-48 days from transplanting.
The rosette is semi-erect, 25-30 cm in diameter, and 15-16 cm high.
Designed for cultivation in open ground and polytunnels.
The leaves are whole, highly corrugated, blistered, with fringed edges, possessing a crisp and dense consistency. Plants are very resistant to precipitation and are almost unaffected by slugs and snails.
