Sunflower "Motley mix"
Sunflower "Motley mix".
Plants 100-150 cm high, which can be successfully used for coulisse culture, forming bright inflorescences up to 20 cm in diameter.
Sunflowers are photophilous and thermophilic and do not like frost. They grow well in a sunny, warm, wind-sheltered place with fertile, loose and neutral soil.
In Estonian conditions, sowing is carried out directly into the ground in mid-May with nests of 2-3 seeds with a distance of 40-50 cm.
You can also grow sunflower seedlings, but in this case, it is necessary to provide the plant with a sufficient amount of light, otherwise the stems will be weak and curved.
Sunflower seedlings appear 6-8 days after sowing.
Use: grown in flowerpots in front of the house, on large flowerbeds and flowerbeds as foreground plants, in a group on the lawn, on balconies.
