Sweet pepper "Rubinova"
Sweet pepper "Rubinova".
An early variety with a growing season of up to 178 days.
Productivity: 14-16 kg/10 m2.
The optimum temperature for growth is +22...+30°С.
The plant's growth stops when the temperature drops to +12...+14°С, and dies at 0°С. The plant has a short, 10-12-hour day.
It does not tolerate shading or lack of moisture, even for a short time. Frequent ground watering, in small doses, with a break during the flowering period.
Planting on cotyledon leaves of 60-day-old seedlings. The bud that appears before planting in the ground should be torn off. At the beginning of fruiting, the plants are hilled.
The first feeding (slurry 1:5) - the beginning of the formation of ovaries on the first flower brush, the second - with mass ripening of the pods.
Pinching above the 6-7th leaf stimulates the formation of lateral shoots, leaves, and prevents the wilting of plants. It is better to pinch off the first flower so as not to restrain the development of the bush.

* How to form pepper plants?
All the leaves and side shoots from the main stem should be gradually removed to the first fork. The first fruit appears in the fork, and sometimes several at once.
The main fruit produces inhibitors - substances that inhibit the formation of subsequent ovaries. It is usually recommended to pluck it (or them) as early as possible so that the second-order forks appear faster and a large number of buds appear on them.
But the fruits in the first fork are the largest, and the subsequent ones are much smaller (but there are significantly more of them).
Those who like thick-walled and juicy peppers should leave the fruits on the plant in the first fork of the stem.
