Shaggy hawkweed - Hieracium villosum.
The most spectacular perennial hawk 15-35 cm high. It is densely covered with long lagging fibers, as if wrapped in a light transparent white cape. The stem is leafy and slightly branched. At the end of each branch there is one large bright yellow inflorescence-basket up to 3 cm in diameter.
Blooms in June-July, forming dense bunches. In nature, it grows on screes, rocks and in desert highlands.
Location and Soil: Hawkweeds grow easily in normal garden soil. Plant them in a sunny spot in dry rocky soil.
Propagation: easy by division or seeds - they give good seedlings. Self-seeding often occurs. 1,0 g = 800 seeds.
