This mid-season variety (115-125 days) boasts excellent flavor when fresh and in salads, and an attractive appearance.
The bulb shape is rounded and flattened. The dry scales are purple-red. Bulb size: 8-10 cm. Weight: 100-120 g.
Sow seeds directly into open ground in late April - early May, to a depth of 1.0-1.5 cm.
For larger bulbs, grow onions using seedlings. Sow seeds for seedlings in March, and transplant them into open ground in early May.
