Sweetpea "Welcome" - Lathyrus odoratus.
An annual herbaceous plant with climbing ribbed stems 1.8-2.0 m long.
Fragrant bright red flowers, resembling moths in shape, are collected in racemose inflorescences. It differs from other types of sweet peas in resistance to low light, suitable for growing in greenhouses even in winter.
The plant is cold-resistant and prefers neutral, loose, fertile and moderately moist soils. Responds well to regular watering and fertilizing with organic fertilizers. Then the flowers will look especially decorative: bloom profusely and for a long time.
Used for vertical gardening supports and decorating fences, walls. Main purpose: cutting for bouquets.
The optimum soil temperature for seed germination is +10+15 °С.

The plant prefers deeply cultivated fertile soils. It grows well in open sunny places and can withstand light shading. Regular watering and fertilizing contribute to abundant and long flowering. Propagated by sowing seeds in open ground in May, previously soaked in warm water for 24 hours. The seeding depth is 0.5-1 cm. At a soil temperature of +20 °C, seedlings appear in 6-10 days. The distance between plants is 15-30 cm. When the plant reaches a height of 10 cm, pinch the top of the shoot and put supports.
