Unpretentious and delicious!
Late-ripening non-repairing variety of garden strawberries for universal use. It is valued for its large fruit, good yield, excellent taste, excellent immunity to diseases and pests, as well as exceptional vitality.
The variety feels great in a wide variety of climatic conditions, so it is suitable for cultivation almost everywhere.
The plant is powerful and erect. Whiskers are formed in small quantities. The flower stalks are powerful, long and thick, multi-primed, located below the level of the leaves, and are laid on the ground under the weight of the harvest. The stalks of the variety are quite thick and long.
The berries are large, broadly conical in shape, without a neck, and can often be comb-shaped or double. The skin is dark red and shiny. The pulp is dark red, dense, juicy, with a bright strawberry aroma.
The taste of these strawberries is very good, sweet and truly dessert. The berries are universal in use, suitable for any processing, and excellent fresh. They tolerate transportation well and can be stored for quite a long time, which makes this variety suitable for growing for commercial purposes.
* How to increase strawberry productivity?
• During the growing season, depending on the weather, strawberries should be watered. After picking the berries, watering should be stopped, because... Leaves develop strongly and the formation of flower buds is inhibited. Watering resumes in mid-September. In the spring, with simultaneous loosening, all last year's moustache is removed. The normal density of strawberries is 12 plants per 1 m2.
• As the berries are filled, the peduncles fall heavily to the ground and the fruits become dirty and infected with rot. To prevent this from happening, before the strawberries bloom (after the next watering and loosening), the soil under the plants must be mulched with cut straw and sawdust.
• Mulch has a positive effect on soil temperature, prevents moisture loss, suppresses weed growth and increases strawberry yield. Mulching can also be done after picking the berries, in mid-August.
