Surfinia "Salmon Shades Velvet" F1 (ampelous petunia)
Ampelous petunia "Salmon Shades Velvet" F1 (Surfinia) - Petunia multiflora.
The plant forms many very strong shoots, completely covered with pastel salmon flowers. The length of the shoots can reach 80 cm or more. Blooms profusely from early May until frost.
Agrotechnics.
Regular feeding has a positive effect on the length of hanging shoots.
Grown by seedlings. Sowing is carried out from January to April, superficially, under glass; after the emergence of seedlings, the glass is removed. During the winter months (January-February) additional lighting is required. With early sowing, flowering begins in May, which is very convenient for growing plants on balconies, enclosed terraces, and patios.
Without additional lighting, petunia is sown no earlier than March. Shoots appear in 7-12 days. It is planted in a permanent place when the threat of frost has passed, it is light-loving, drought-resistant, has good growth and high seed germination.
Prefers light, fertile, well-drained soils. Petunias can be grown for several years, kept in winter in well-lit rooms (plants are heavily pruned, t no more than +12°C, moderate watering).
Petunia is used as a background and balcony plant, in containers, vases, and for decorating window sills.
