Sweet William (dwarf mix) - Dianthus barbatus.
A herbaceous plant with numerous knotty stems, 50-60 cm high. The stems are straight, strong, the leaves are sessile, lanceolate with a gray-blue tint. The flowers are double, velvety, fragrant, of the most diverse colors, with a patterned border, collected in dense corymbose inflorescences with a diameter of 10-12 cm.
Winter-hardy, prefers well-lit areas with light fertile soils, can grow in partial shade. Propagated by sowing seeds in the ground in spring or before winter. The optimum temperature for seed germination is +20°C. Seedlings dive or pull through, maintaining a distance of 5 cm between them. The grown plants are planted in a permanent place.
Used for flower beds, borders and high quality cuts.
