Tomato "Orange Queen"
Tomato "Orange Queen".
Bright, juicy, and sweet queen of the greenhouse!
A late-ripening, high-yielding, indeterminate (tall) variety. The fruits are bright orange, perfectly round, weighing about 150-220 g. The flesh is very tasty, fleshy, and juicy, with thin skin and a small amount of seeds.
The variety is universal: suitable for fresh consumption, making juices (gives a very beautiful colour!), and sauces. Grown in greenhouses.
Growing conditions.
The culture loves heat and light. Grown by seedling method.
At the optimal germination temperature of +20+25ºC, seedlings appear in 5 days. Place on fertile, light, neutral soils.
Sowing: March-April.
Transplanting: May (3rd decade), June (1st decade).
Harvest: July (3rd decade) - September.
1.0 g = 200-300 seeds.
Seed viability period: 4-5 years.
Time for sowing seeds for seedlings: 50-65 days before planting in the greenhouse.
Time for planting seedlings in the greenhouse: End of the 2nd - beginning of the 3rd decade of May.
Vegetation period: 110-140 days.
Soils by acidity: slightly acidic, but can grow on any soil, even acidic.
Best soils: loose, well-warmed loams, sandy loams, and fertile floodplain soils.
Best predecessors: cabbage, cucumber, onion, peas (do not plant after potatoes and other Solanaceae).

* Did you know that the reason for the lack of fruit set in tomatoes during abundant flowering is:
1. Temperature too low (below +16°C).
2. Average daily temperature too high (above +30°C).
3. Lack of light.
And uneven colouring of fruits occurs as a result of:
a) temperature too high;
b) lack of potassium and magnesium (gives a green spot near the stem on a ripe fruit);
c) high concentration of nitrogen in ammonium form;
d) insufficient lighting (gives brown spots).
