* Regardless of how you grow cabbage, first of all you need to prepare the seeds for sowing. To do this, first of all, they need to be tested for germination. In this case, you need to carefully ensure that the fabric is constantly damp.
The most effective scheme for preparing cabbage seeds is their heat treatment followed by soaking them in a solution of stimulants. To do this, the seeds are kept for 20 minutes in hot water at a temperature of +50+52°C. It is more convenient to do this in a small thermos. The measure is effective, but it is better to do this with a thermometer in hand. If the temperature is higher, the seeds may die, and below - there will be no effect. Then the seeds must be dipped in cold water for 1 minute.
After this procedure, the seeds are kept for 18 hours at a temperature of +24+30°C in a solution of "Epin" (2 drops per half a glass of water).
The next operation is soaking the seeds until they are completely swollen. For quickly sprouting cabbage seeds, the duration of such soaking is 12 hours. The plates with seeds should be placed in a warm place, and the water should be changed every 4 hours, while gently mixing the seeds. During soaking, the seeds should only swell. It is advisable to finish preparing cabbage seeds by hardening them. To do this, seeds wrapped in a damp cloth are immediately placed in the refrigerator after soaking and kept at a temperature of +1+2 degrees for 24 hours.
