Soldiers woundwort "Thousand seal" (colour mix) - Achillea millefolium.
The plant is perennial. Stems erect, 40-60 cm tall, form a loose bush. The leaves are arranged in the next order, twice or thrice pinnately dissected with numerous lanceolate segments, the lower ones are on petioles, the upper ones are sessile, with a peculiar smell when rubbed. Flowers up to 0.7 cm in diameter are collected in dense corymbose inflorescences.
Blooms from July 40-45 days. In culture since 1440.
The popularity of yarrow is growing steadily every year, and today it appears before us in a completely new form of a flower cloud. Dressed in his magnificent outfit, he will attract attention and give a unique aroma until the end of summer. It is appropriate in both small and large gardens, in a mixborder, as an addition to a rose garden. Looks charming in the frame of the reservoir. Used for cutting and decorating winter bouquets, cut half-open.
Sowing: April-May in open ground or before winter to a depth of no more than 0.5 cm. It is very important that until the moment of germination the soil is always slightly moist. Seedlings appear on 14-21 days, they are thinned out, maintaining a distance between plants of 20-25 cm.
Care: Grow well in any well-drained soil, but prefer moderately fertile, light soil. Require regular watering. With a lack of moisture, the flowers become smaller and lose their doubleness. Rare top dressing with a solution of complex mineral fertilizer is recommended.
Flowering: June-November in the second year.

* Folk advice: the dog will not get fleas if you put a few cut stalks of yarrow in the booth.
