The plant prefers a sunny place, fertile, loose soil. Propagated by sowing seeds in March-April in seedling boxes.

Otherwise, zinnias are very unpretentious and grateful plants. They grow on any light loamy soils and love abundant watering, respond well to fertilizing with mineral fertilizers.
Excess organic matter, as with most plants, leads to active growth of green mass to the detriment of flowering. Plants are drought-resistant, but in a dry summer without watering they quickly fade.
