Agastache foeniculum L.

Thearomatic, golden-green foliage provides interest before the midblue flower spikes appear from mid summer. The plant habit remains upright and compact.
Potting of agastache.
Anise Hyssop is heat resistant and easy to grow. Give it well drained, but not dry soil. This plant will bloom from late summer to autumn. Try the lovely fresh flowers as a garnish on fruit or desserts. Harvest branch tips as needed for fresh use. To dry, harvest the whole plant at the early bloom stage.
Propagation of agastache.
You can use seeds or purchase plants to propagate Anise Hyssop. Start seeds indoors, 6 to 8 weeks before the spring frost-free date. Transplant them to a sunny spot when the soil is warm.
