Chamaepericlymenum canadense
Low creeping shrub that forms spectacular carpets. Stems are 8-15 cm tall. Each stem has 4 to 6 leaves. They are smooth, green above and whitish below, from 3 to 8 cm long. The flowers are small, with a double perianth 1-2.5 cm long, resembling large petals, which make it decorative. Spectacular bright red fruits. In warm winters, the leaves remain until spring; in cold winters they fall off. The plant is expansive.
