Stemmacantha carthamoides (Willd.) Dittrich
Leuzea has long been used as a forage plant for domestic animals and in medicine. Leuzea is grown in the garden as a medicinal and decorative sprawling, tall plant (sometimes reaching a height of two meters with good care). Leuzea blooms in July-early August, attracting an abundance of bees to the garden; its fruits ripen in August-September.
