A very rare winter-hardy perennial about 25 cm high with ruby flowers up to 3 cm in diameter and beautiful carved foliage. Blooms in May-June. It grows both in partial shade and in the light.
Seeds are sown before winter or spring. When spring sowing, the seeds are stratified for three months. Crops are lightly sprinkled with soil and protected from direct sunlight. Seedlings appear in two weeks. Dive with the development of the first pair of true leaves. Seedlings are planted in early June, after the end of spring frosts.
It is used to decorate flower beds, group plantings and mixborders.
