"Chanson" F1 is a group of popular hybrid spreading begonias with double and semi-double flowers. It offers the complete range of colours that begonias can offer. Plants grown from seed start flowering early and continue until the first frosts. Plants usually create 5–8 main shoots, where regular camellia-form flowers on long peduncles appear behind every leaf. Flower size is 6–8 cm. Plants create a cascade of 30–50 cm. Can also be used for bulb production. Ideal for flower boxes, hanging baskets and higher spots to show its spreading cascading character. The two bicolour varieties we offer are unique.
1,0 g = 75000 seeds.

Resistant to rain and wind, tolerates partial shade, and its flowering continues without interruption from spring to frost. In room conditions, you can adjust the flowering time, based on the timing of sowing.
Annual plant. Height 35-40 cm. Flower diameter 6-8 cm.
Unsurpassed decorative ampelous begonia with double and semi-double camellia-shaped flowers. It has from 5 to 8 main shoots 35-40 cm long. Flowering is abundant and long, the flowers are large, dark red in color and velvety texture. Gracefully curved stems look especially impressive in flowerpots, planters and hanging baskets - wherever the ampelous shape of plants is favorably emphasized. The plants are ornamental all year round, which is why begonias are often grown as a perennial houseplant. Plants form large tubers that can be stored until the next season.

Sowing: November-March for seedlings. Seeds in granules.
Granules are placed on the surface of slightly compacted and moistened soil, without covering them. Crops are moistened from a spray bottle, covered with glass or plastic wrap to maintain moisture. The shell of the granules should dissolve. It is necessary to maintain optimal humidity for seed germination. Shoots appear in the light at a temperature of + 22 + 25 ° C in 10-20 days. (When germinating, seeds must be illuminated. Seeds or granules are not sprinkled, they are well moistened and kept in constant humidity. Additional round-the-clock illumination (40 W lamp per 1 sq.m.) is optional, but speeds up germination and improves the quality of plants).
After germination, a long daylight hours (14 hours) is provided, the temperature is reduced to + 14 + 18 ° C and the humidity in the substrate is reduced. Seedlings dive after 5 weeks into 3x3 cm pots. The second dive is carried out after 5 weeks into larger pots. Young plants should never dry out. Water for irrigation should be at least +18°C.
Care: Prefers light or semi-shady places and soil rich in organic matter, in which there is little or no lime. From spring to autumn, the soil should be constantly moist. After the begonia has faded, it is gradually prepared for winter dormancy. Watering is reduced, the ground part is cut off, and the pot with the tuber is stored in a dry, cool place with a temperature of + 14 + 16 ° C, only occasionally moistening the soil.
In the spring (March) they are transplanted into a fresh earthen mixture, watering is resumed, and then top dressing. When transplanting and transporting plants, be careful - the plants are very fragile.
Flowering: 20-21 weeks after germination.
Tuberous begonias develop well at moderate temperatures and slightly high humidity, the best place for planting is partial shade, but with abundant and regular watering, open sunny places are also suitable. During flowering, additional top dressing is necessary. It is used as a potted plant for landscaping balconies and vertical gardening of the plot, planted in flower pots, hanging baskets, containers. Does not tolerate frost.
