Busy Lizzie "Fanciful Red" - Impatiens walleriana.
An annual plant. Spherical bush up to 30 cm high and 10-15 cm in diameter. The leaves are dark green.
The plant is strewn with large, 4 cm in diameter, double flowers. Blooms from June until frost. The plant is unpretentious.
Grows well in partial shade. Prefers light fertile soils. Moisture-loving enough, but does not tolerate excessive waterlogging.
Propagated by seeds, which are sown in March-April in seedlings.
Sowing is carried out superficially, covered with glass and placed in a well-lit place. Shoots appear in 14-20 days.
After germination, the humidity of the substrate and air must be reduced by removing the coverslip.
Seedlings, having reached a height of 1 cm, dive into pots one plant at a time. Plants are placed on the open balcony in mid-May.
Used to decorate containers, hanging baskets and flower beds can be grown as a houseplant.
