Coleus "Evening Glow(Flame nettle) - Coleus blumei.
Velvety and highly decorative leaves do not fade in the sun!
An unpretentious ornamental foliage plant of American breeding from the famous "Wizard" series.
The bushes are erect, branching, 30-35 cm high, and develop quickly.
This variety is used as a perennial houseplant and as a garden annual.
This fast-growing «painted nettle» looks great in pots and container arrangements, in flowerbeds, and borders. To prolong the decorative period, it is necessary to remove the flower stalks.
Sowing seeds for seedlings in March: sow superficially in a container, without covering with soil (covering with a film to maintain constant humidity until germination).
Seedlings appear in 10-12 days. With the appearance of a pattern on the leaves, the seedlings are pricked out into separate pots. When the plants reach a height of 7-8 cm, a formative pinching is carried out. Planting seedlings in the ground under Estonian conditions: early June.

* Growing coleus from seeds is a great pleasure, as it turns out perfectly even for novice florists.
Incredibly bright, «parrot» colors, velvet texture, and diverse leaf shapes are perceived with invariable admiration.
The leaves do not fade in the sun, and their rich color is preserved throughout the season.
For maximum decorativeness, coleus needs bright light, protection from winds, and light, nutritious soil. So that the plant does not waste energy on flowering, remove the flower stalks immediately after they appear.
