* How to determine if cucumbers are infested with spider mites?
If a spider mite has appeared on cucumbers, the leaves will turn completely light yellow or have small yellow spots. If you turn the leaf over, you will see black dots running in all directions - these are spider mites.
The mites appear when flower stalks form on onions and garlic. You can spray them with Fitoverm, but you cannot eat the cucumbers for two days after that, or you can spray them with a fresh solution made from finely chopped garlic stalks, infused for about 2 hours.
The spider mite does not like the smell of dill. Sow dill in the greenhouse with cucumbers, and there will be no spider mites.
