Agricultural technology.
The plant is cold-resistant, light-loving, not demanding on soils. Poorly tolerates stagnant water. It responds well to the application of mineral and organic fertilizers. Propagated by sowing seeds in open ground in April. The seeding depth is 0.3 cm. At a temperature of +12°C, seedlings appear on the 7-12th day. Seedlings are thinned out, leaving a distance between plants of 15-20 cm.
Poppy does not tolerate stagnant water, responds well to the application of mineral and organic fertilizers. This gives poppy leaves a rich dark green color, larger flowers, and brighter colors.
If, after flowering, some of the boxes are left, then abundant self-seeding occurs. Therefore, having sown them once, in subsequent years it will only be necessary to thin out the emerging poppy seedlings.
Poppy care is not burdensome - weeding, loosening, watering in drought, removing faded flowers. Plant transplants are very poorly tolerated.
