* Growing seedlings of pepper.
Seedlings are watered 3-4 hours before picking. They are transplanted into individual pots (the optimal feeding area is 8x8 cm or 10x10 cm), filled with a mixture similar in composition to the one in which the seeds were sown. The soil is watered: for 10 litres of water add 1 cup of diluted mullein or 1 tbsp. a spoonful of carbamide. Seedlings are planted in depressions made in the middle of the pot to the cotyledon leaves. Pots for 2-3 days should be shaded for better survival of seedlings, then they are placed on the windowsill.
Seedlings are watered once a week (but do not over-moisten) with settled water at a temperature of + 25 ° C.
The first top dressing is done 10 days after planting: add 10 g of urea, 40 g of superphosphate and 10 g of potassium salt to 10 litres of water.
The second is done one and a half weeks after the first, doubling the dose of phosphorus. Consumption rate - 1 liter per 10-12 plants. After feeding the plants, water them with clean water.
Temperature regime for seedlings: in the first 4 days after picking - during the day + 20 + 22 ° С, at night + 18 + 20 ° С.
It is very important to harden the grown seedlings. This procedure begins about a week after picking. Seedlings are cooled for 2-3 hours at +13+15°C for one and a half weeks. The procedure is repeated a week before planting seedlings in a permanent place (seedlings are removed in a warm place only at night).
