Pumpkin "Mramornaja"
Winter squash "Marble" (Pumpkin).
A leader in taste qualities. One of the best table varieties for winter storage!
Late-ripening variety: 120-140 days from germination to harvest. The plant is long-vined and vigorous.
The fruits are flattened, with a wrinkled-segmented surface. The bark color is grey and dark grey, with light grey mottling and stripes. Fruits weighing 4-4.9 kg, for table use. The flesh is orange, thick, crispy, and sweet.
Agrotechnology.
The best soils for pumpkins are sandy loam and light loamy. Pumpkins are sown when the soil warms up to +10+12°C. Seeds are planted to a depth of 5-10 cm. 2-3 seeds are sown in one hole. After the emergence of seedlings, weak plants are removed. Pumpkins are also grown through seedlings, with planting in open ground at the age of one month (phase of two to three true leaves). Long-vined varieties are sown in an ordinary way according to the 1.4x1.0 m scheme. Bush forms of pumpkins are sown in a square-cluster way according to the 80x60 cm scheme.
Plant care includes: pinching off lateral vines, pinching the main stem (after setting several fruits), watering, weeding, loosening, and mandatory top dressing. For better formation of adventitious roots, the plants are slightly hilled with moist soil. Harvesting of fruits is carried out at the end of the season, before the onset of the first autumn frosts.
